SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol says an Iowa man died at an intersection just south of Centerville Thursday afternoon.
The Patrol says 63 year old Gene Allan Stinton of LeMars was driving on Highway 46 and 53 year old Tom Laidlaw of Colorado was on Highway 19A.
Laidlaw stopped then drove into the intersection and his vehicle was struck by Stinton’s truck
The Patrol says Stinton had the right of way because he did not have to stop at the intersection.
Stinton died at the scene and Laidlaw, who was driving a Peterbilt truck and not wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.
