Man charged with stabbing boyfriend in domestic dispute

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Even with a Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage, not every couple may want to exchange wedding vows.

Officer Sam Clemens says boyfriends got into an argument last night in their East 11^th Street apartment.

Clemens the pair got into an argument that turned into a physical fight.  He says 23-year-old Mike Stefanyuk stabbed his partner with a kitchen knife in the abdomen.  The victim called police and both men were at the scene when police arrived.          

Clemens says Stefanyuk is charged with domestic aggravated assault.

The  victim did not need treatment.  No word on what sparked the argument.
