Undated (KELO AM) - Sunday will be an uncomfortable one outside, as temperatures in the 90’s and high dew points in the upper 60’s and low 70’s will combine to make temperatures feel between 98 and 107. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Take precautions if you are outside. Drink plenty of water and limit strenuous outdoor activities this afternoon.
Monday and Tuesday will see temperatures still in the 90's.
Along and east of Interstate 29, there is a chance for thunderstorm development.. If thunderstorms do develop, the do have a chance to quickly become severe, especially in southwest Minnesota . The National Weather Service is saying that hail up to tennis ball size and winds to 70 mph are possible. If storms do develop, they would fire up late in the day.
The Storm Prediction Center has the eastern Dakotas and northeast Nebraska in a slight chance for severe weather, with Northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota in the enhanced chance for severe storms. A large part of Minnesota and extreme northern Iowa and western Wisconsin is in the moderate risk for severe weather.
