SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Roosevelt High School teacher has resigned after being accused of using a shoe camera to take pictures up women’s skirts at the HyVee Store on South Minnesota Avenue.
Officer Sam Clemens says it was store employees that reported the strange behavior of 35-year-old Dallas Rulon Wilkinson.
Clemens says a camera was inserted into his shoe and there was a small hole in the top of his shoe. He allegedly would walk up to women behind them and get his foot between their legs.
Sioux Falls Schools Superintendant Brian Maher says he doesn't believe the teacher used the shoe cam on any students. Maher says this kind of behavior will not be tolerated, but without making excuses for the school system, he doesn't see how it could have been predicted.
Wilkinson is charged with a misdemeanor of taking people’s pictures through their clothing.
