SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - A Paramedics Plus employee is accused of taking money from the scene of an unattended death of a 56-year-old Sioux Falls woman.
Officer Sam Clemens says an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect and police hope he’ll surrender.
Clemens says emergency responders; firefighters, police and paramedics, are put in a position where they're given trust by the public. He says what this ends up being is that this person just made a bad choice.
Clemens says $44 was taken from the scene and found in the suspect’s backpack.
The charge is petty theft, which is anything less than a $1,000. There was nothing suspicious about the woman's death.
