SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau will welcome I-90 travelers at the Valley Springs rest area Friday, a tradition that started 25-years ago.
Executive Director Teri Schmidt admits that most who stop are headed to the Black Hills.
Schmidt says they'll tell travelers about upcoming events in Sioux Falls that they can make on their return trip. Plus, she says, Sioux Falls is becoming a nice overnight stop for the last leg to the Hills or even Minneapolis.
Venders from hotels and area attractions also attend the red carpet welcome.
