SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - 100,000.
That’s how many people Rob Joyce expects will attend JazzFest at Yankton Trail Park today through Saturday.
Joyce says JazzFest, which has been free since 1996, boasts impressive headliners.
Tonight's headliner is Marcia Ball, a great blues piano player from Louisiana, Friday night it's Boz Scaggs and Saturday's is Grace Potter who has a new hit out with Tim McGraw. A shuttle runs between the Elmen Center and Yankton Trail for three dollars today and tomorrow. Gates open at four today and tomorrow.T
The hot, sultry days of July usually accompany JazzFest and this weekend is no exception.
Sioux Falls weatherman Jim Murray says the best tip to beat the heat is to stay hydrated.
Murray says Friday will be the sunniest, warmest and most humid of the three day festival.
