SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Transients preying on one another brought Sioux Falls Police to Heritage Park yesterday afternoon where the victim was severely beaten by three others.
Officer Sam Clemens says the most aggressive suspect was 25-year-old Marsha Rae Primeaux.
Clemens says Primeaux and two men attacked a 43-year-old male transient in an effort to steal a cell phone. Primeaux is accused of kicking the victim in the head. A nearby office worker saw the attack and called police.
The men are charged with petty theft and simple assault. The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Clemens says the number of calls to Heritage Park this month appear to be lower than last month.
