SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Thousands of walkers are expected at Saturday’s Heart Walk at Falls Park.
Loren Forsch says the American Heart Association has a goal of decreasing deaths from heart disease by 20% by 2020.
Forsch says decreasing deaths has been realized over the last couple of decades but increasing the health of residents has been a tougher sell. She says getting people to change lifestyles is a bigger challenge and all it takes is thirty minutes of exercise, activity or walking every day.
Festivities start at eight tomorrow morning with a one or three mile walk beginning at nine.
