Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls has saved two black bears from Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Zoo President Elizabeth Whealy says the mama bear and baby bear were a constant nuisance at Grand Teton, disrupting camp sites and stealing food. She says usually bothersome bears like this are euthanized, but now the two bears have a new life in Sioux Falls.
Like all animals arriving at the Zoo, the bears will spend 30 days in quarantine before going on exhibit. The two Bears will join the Zoo’s 16-year-old Black Bear, Charles,
