SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say more counterfeit bills are popping up at Sioux Falls’ businesses.
Captain Greg Vandekamp says once a fake bill is passed, others usually follow.
Vandekamp says once a person, or a group of people, starts passing phoney money, it usually continues until they are caught, stop or are scared off enough to not do it anymore.
A clerk at a Shop N’ Cart recognized a phony twenty this morning and the suspect fled in maroon Dodge mini-van driven by a woman.
