SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a 44-year-old Sioux Falls man somehow got his arm caught in a tree near North Wayland Sunday night and when firefighters were getting him out, he bit one of them.
Officer Sam Clemens says the man was hospitalized but he couldn't say what he was being treated for. But on Monday he pulled the I-V’s out of his arm and ran off.
Clemens says police caught the man in the 600 block of South First Avenue yesterday afternoon. Authorities are waiting for the suspect to be released before bringing charges.
Police haven’t released the man’s name but he could be facing charges of simple assault and ingesting.
