SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Harrisburg-based Rancher’s Pride agreed to change its sales practices and pay the State of Iowa $30,000 in a settlement.
Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller says Rancher’s Pride violated the door-to-door sales act by failing to provide consumers a notice of their right to cancel their purchase in three days and made false and deceptive statements about products.
The company agreed to follow the act by no longer making misrepresentations to buyers about costs and fees.
The payment will go to Iowa’s consumer education and litigation fund.
