SIOUX FALLS (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police were dispatched to the Microtel Inn, located at 2901 S. Carolyn Ave at approximately 4:40 a.m. for a purse snatching. Upon arrival they made contact with a female in the parking lot who said that her purse had been taken from her as she was walking into the hotel.The victim said an unidentified male came behind her and grabbed a hold of her purse. After a short struggle the suspect got into the passenger side of a purple or blue Dodge Stratus and fled the scene, driving south on Carolyn Ave.The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6" tall, weighing 120 pounds, and has a light colored facial hair. He was wearing a dark green jacket with a hood and red shorts.
Some of the contents of the purse were located on the ground in the area of 37th St and Mayfair Ave.
