SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The good news is that there were no D-W-I’s in Saturday’s daytime saturation patrol, but the bad news is there were 98 speeding tickets issued.
Officer Sam Clemens says that’s one reason police will continue the extra patrols.
Clemens says the results show police that they have work to do whether its education, getting people to voluntarily comply with the laws on the books or doing more enforcement.
Clemens says the increased patrol issued 237 total citations including 14 red light violations and 24 seat belt violations.
Twelve additional officers were added to Saturday’s announced, patrol.
