SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The largest budget in city history, at over $471 million, was approved last night by the Sioux Falls City Council.
Councilor Michelle Erpenbach offered an amendment redirecting $85,000 from Van Eps Park improvements to the Mary Jo Wagner Arboretum.
Erpenbach says the amendment restored the engineering and design funds that were removed from the line-item for the Arboretum. She says the wedding lawn and other amenities in phase three of improvements are the beginning of collecting operating funds for the Arboretum.
The Council added almost $122,000 in projects by amendment.
