SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - State Climatologist Dennis Todey says the outlook is for warmer temperatures through the winter.
Todey says the outlook for precipitation is mixed.
He says even if South Dakota get a lot precipitation it will likely be as rain or ice because of warmer weather. And he says when snow does fall, it won't stay around long because of higher than normal temperatures.
Todey says El Nino is on track for winter with warmer than average conditions.
