SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The City has reached a one million dollar settlement with five contractors over the dimpled metal panels on the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
City Attorney David Pfeifle says the panels will not be replaced because they are structurally sound and the settlement is over aesthetics.
Public Works Director Mark Cotter says the siding is doing what it was designed to do--operate as a weather barrier. Cotter says the 20-year finish warranty on the panels remains in effect.
Director of Finance Tracy Turbak says the $1 million will go into the Eents Center construction funds for any future priorities or needs.
Pfeifle says the settlement resolves pending litigation
