Sioux Falls Police tase disorderly man

SIOUX FALLS (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police Officers were driving westbound in the 200 block of East 6^th Street where they confronted a man walking in traffic and being disorderly. 

The officers stopped to speak with him and removed him from traffic to a safe spot.  The man initially complied and then walked back into traffic. 

When he was approached by the officers again, he punched one of them in the head.  The police officers Tased the man identified as John Mayiel Choul of Sioux Falls and brought him under control.

Choul was arrested and charged with Simple Assault on Law Enforcement Officers, Disorderly Conduct, and Obstructing Police.
