Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The City of Sioux Falls invites the public to attend the annual surplus auction sale to be held this Saturday, September 26, 2015.
The auction will start at 9 a.m. at the Street Maintenance Facility, 1000 East Chambers Street. A variety of items will be sold such as jewelry, electronics, tools, office furniture, equipment, and police unclaimed and confiscated property. All vehicles will begin selling at 12 noon, which includes sedans, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Several local agencies are joining the City of Sioux Falls to auction their surplus property. Minnehaha County, City of Worthing, City of Dell Rapids, City of Wentworth, City of Tea, City of Brandon, Southeast Technical Institute, and Sioux Falls and Brandon Valley School Districts also will have surplus items for sale.
The auction usually draws about 500 bidders, with net proceeds of more than $150,000 coming back to the City’s general fund every year. T. Brick Auctions will be the auctioneer for the event.
