SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Siouxland Libraries is teaming up with a nonprofit organization to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking. Community members are encouraged to learn more about sex trafficking in South Dakota, the Midwest, and around the world when Oak View Library, 3700 East Third Street, hosts the founders of The New Colossus on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 6 p.m.
Learn how The New Colossus has put systems in place to empower individuals to see signs, be aware, and in turn, potentially prevent victimization. The New Colossus is a nonprofit organization that educates citizens and promotes awareness of the dangers of human trafficking.
