SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - More than 400 high school students from Eastern South Dakota gathered at South Dakota State University Thursday for a day of singing and preparation for the annual All-State Chorus Concert.
SDSU music faculty members David Reynolds, Laura Diddle, Andrew Robinette and Emily Toronto worked with students in small groups and as an ensemble, helping them prepare the challenging music they’ll perform as part of the 1,000-plus-member All-State Chorus.
The students worked on their repertoire for about six hours.
The concert will be October 31 in Rapid City. This year’s guest conductor is Dr Pete Eklund from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
