SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Children’s Home Society is recruiting foster parents willing to offer more than basic care.
Heather Goens says the therapeutic foster care program requires a higher level of care.
Goens says these are kids who have experienced trauma, a lot have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or post traumatic stress disorder. She says those kind of kids require more structure and stability.
Children’s Home Society is offering information on foster care two weeks from tomorrow at their North Sycamore campus.
