Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls City Council Chair Kenny Anderson Jr. thinks Council may have shot down a cell phone-while-driving ban without enough public input.
Anderson is suggesting a non-binding city-wide vote to see what residents really want. He says such an advisory vote was taken on the events center, so why not cell phones.
Anderson says such a vote would allow the city to have an open discussion about the important issue.
A group that supported the ban complained that Council voted it down on first reading, which basically did not allow for any public testimony.
