SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The extra police patrols on Friday and Saturday nights in Sioux Falls made 18 D-U-I arrests.
Officer Sam Clemens says the added lawmen wrote over four-hundred total citations for both nights.
Clemens says the sargeant in charge of the operation says the numbers reflect what officers see on normal weekend patrols. No big surprises as far as the number of arrests or numbers of tickets issued.
Clemens says state troopers and deputies from Lincoln and Minnehaha Counties joined the patrol.
