SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Housekeeping ruled today’s short Minnehaha County Commission meeting including a new law enforcement agreement with eight cities raising the hourly rate to $32.79.
Warden Jeff Gromer says the jail’s health care provider struggles to hire staff and relies on higher paid, Armor corporate staff.
Commissioners also set new weight load limits on a few county bridges.
There will be an opening on the Minnehaha County Planning when Chairman Wayne Steinhauer’s term expires next month.
Planner Scott Anderson says the county is seeking applications for the four year term. Application forms are on the county’s website and the Commission makes the final appointment.
