SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Senate begins debate today on overturning the E-P-A’s "Waters of the U.S." which Republican lawmakers see as federal overreach.
The Minnehaha County Commission sent its support of the Federal Water Quality Protection Act to Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds today.
The ongoing concern with "Waters of the U.S." is the lack of the E-P-A in engaging state and local authorities over the impact it would have on agriculture producers.
Robert Wilson with the Commission’s office brought the letter of support to today’s meeting. All the Commissioners signed on to support the Federal Water Quality Act.
