Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The City of Sioux Falls will join other municipalities, businesses, and residences by honoring veterans with a green light on Veterans Day.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, the City of Sioux Falls will light the falls in Falls Park green to show support of our veterans as part of the Greenlight a Vet campaign across the nation. Green is the color of hope and well-being. “Greenlight” is also a term commonly used to activate forward movement. The green light is intended to spark a national conversation recognizing veterans and greenlighting them forward as valued members of our communities.
Come down to Falls Park on Wednesday to enjoy the scenery. Join us and change one light to green as a symbol of appreciation and support to our veterans.
Please note that any business, organization, or individual can request the falls to be lighted. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation has a wide variety of colors to choose from. The cost is $200 per day. To inquire, call 605-367-8222.
