Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether says Russell Street must eventually be dramatically expanded into a major thoroughfare linking east to west in the growing city.
Huether tells KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show that the project will be a "beast" because Russell would have to be carved through the higher ground near the State Prison and the John Morrell Plant.
He says he is disappointed that the pumped up Russell project likely won't happen on his watch. But he says it must happen in the future, maybe in five to ten years, to accomodate increasing traffic in South Dakota's largest city.
