City highlights 2016's major road project

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - City Engineers unveiled next year’s major road projects including replacing the West 12^th Street Bridge near Grange Avenue.

Chad Huwe says two east-bound lanes will be maintained in the morning and two west-bound lanes in the evening.

Other big projects include West Maple, East 69^th Street, Main Avenue and infrastructure work for Foundation Park.

In the past six construction seasons, the City of Sioux Falls has improved a total of 388 miles of roadways.  Huwe says the city laid a lot of groundwork this year to prepare for and expedite 2016's projects.
