Police say large cocaine bust rare in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A routine traffic stop Saturday night turned into a sizeable cocaine bust of 192 grams.

Officer Sam Clemens says Blake Austin Schroeder and Matthew Thomas Houff, both 19, and 18-year-old Abby Gail Thomas, all from Sioux Falls, are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Clemens says cocaine isn't all that common in Sioux Falls and says the same holds true for heroin. He says police see both drugs from time-to-time but not the large increases of cocaine and heroin that plague other parts of the country.              

Schroeder ran a red light at 6^th and Minnesota.
