SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls woman is accused of holding a knife to the throat of an ex-boyfriend yesterday afternoon at his home on North Starr Place.
But first, Captain Greg Vandekamp says, 33-year-old Janie Salinas threatened him with a metal bar.
Vandekamp says the victim went to the kitchen where Salinas grabbed the knife and held it to his throat. She dropped the knife and pushed the man to the floor and put her hands around his throat.
She fled the scene, the victim called police who found her later. Salinas is charged with aggravated assault, domestic and burglary for forcing her way into his home.
