SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Kristi Noem anticipates Congress passing a short-term continuing resolution to give negotiators more time to hammer out a budget.
Noem says the amount of money was settled earlier.
She says negotiators are considering how many attached riders will remain on the legislation. She says those riders cover issues such as Syrian refugees to funding for Planned Parenthood.
Noem says once an agreement on a long-term budget is made, the House will wait three days before a vote. She says that's standard House procedure, keeping the bill open to the public for three days.
