SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Senator John Thune today said the United States should never have a religious test for coming in country.

Reacting to Donald Trump’s call to keep Muslims from coming to the U-S, Thune says the candidate throws stuff against the wall.

Thune says the United States will be working with many Muslim countries and armies that will be taking the fight to ISIS.

Thune says the fight is against Islam jihadists and the U-S needs a better process of vetting refugees.

South Dakota's Kristi Noem calls Trumps idea "Un-American."  She says people came to this country for religious freedom. She's not supporting Trump for President, anyway. Noem supports Marco Rubio.
