Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - The call came in the Metro Communications at 12:14 Monday afternoon....a structure fire on West Johnson Place just north of I-229. Residents say they smelled smoke in the home through the morning before calling 9-1-1. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue had the blaze out within approximately ten minutes. No injuries were reported, and the two residents escaped unharmed, along with four cats. Investigators haven't yet determined the cause of the fire, but don't believe it's electrical. Part of the mobile home's roof had to be removed to get at the fire. The Sioux Empire Red Cross responded, and helped the residents as the home was left unliveable.
