SIOUX FALLS, SD (KWSN)– The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today they have traded guard Corey Hawkins to Idaho in exchange for the returning player rights of Shane Gibson.
Gibson, a 6-2, 180-lb guard from Sacred Heart University, appeared in 50 NBA Development League games (36 starts) for the Idaho Stampede during the 2014-15 season and averaged 12.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 39.8 percent (128-of-322) from three-point range. Gibson appeared in 122 games (100 starts) at Sacred Heart University and averaged 17.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists and was named to the All Northeast First Team his junior and senior seasons.
Hawkins appeared in nine games (one start) for the Skyforce this season and totaled 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.
