SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - An incident last weekend at Spencer Dog Park was not a dog attack, instead it was a head butt between a woman and a mixed-breed pit bull.
Julie DeJong with Animal Control says the woman was bent down when the excited pit bull ran up and their heads collided. DeJong says the victim suffered a small scratch to her chin that she later barely noticed was bleeding.
Animal Control has made contact with the owner and the mixed-breed pit bull. Now, DeJong says, officicals haven't been able to find the victim. She says the phone number she gave doesn't work and they can't find her at the address she gave them.
Authorities would like the two parties to meet and discuss the next step. If you have any information call Animal Control at 367-7000.
