SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Office of Personnel Management has sent a letter to the millions of federal employees whose sensitive information was stolen last year.
Jessie Schmidt with the Better Business Bureau says the letter tells potential victims that a company will provide identity theft protection.
Schmidt says the Office has contracted with a private firm that will offer credit monitoring, identity monitoring, identity theft insurance and identity theft protection for three years dating back to July 1, 2015.
Letter receivers must enroll with ID Experts using a pin code.
The Office was the target of a malicious cyber intrusion.
