SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The House today passed a bill that would derail the EPA’s Waters of the U-S regulation.
Congresswoman Kristi Noem calls it the largest federal land grab in her lifetime.
Noem says the EPA could regulate almost any puddle of water from road ditches to ponds and streams, installing another level of federal bureauracracy. Now the EPA regulates only water that is navigable.
Noem says violators of the regulations could face fines of up to $30,000 a day.
The measure goes to the President.
