SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls woman was arrested for animal neglect Sunday, leaving her dog outside for hours in below zero temperatures.
Officer Sam Clemens says a neighbor called animal control who called police.
Clemens says when police arrived the air temperature was -7 and the wind chill was -20. He says the dog should have been out only for a few minutes but was outside for hours.
30-year-old Jessica Marie Swain is charged with a misdemeanor.
The full grown Huskie was taken by animal control, its condition is unknown.
