SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - One person went to the hospital after a mattress caught fire last night in a two-story apartment on North Covell Avenue.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue had the fire under control in six minutes.
The room where the fire started sustained moderate damage and there was smoke damage through the building.
Residents were out of their apartments when Fire Rescue arrived and are being helped by the Red Cross.
There’s no word on the condition of the tenant who was treated. The tenant refused treatment from the ambulance and found a private ride to the hospital.
