Undated (KELO-AM) On the 43rd anniversary of Roe v Wade on Friday, a major abortion bill was put in the hopper at the South Dakota State Legislature.
The pain capable bill would restrict abortions to under 20 weeks. Cathy Crisp with Sioux Falls Right to Life says that there is enough medical evidence that unborn babies do feel pain despite all the claims to the contrary. She believes that the Planned Parenthood videos, among other recent events, give momentum to the pro-life cause.
Pro-life groups were holding a March for Life Friday evening, from the First Assembly of God Church in Sioux Falls to the nearby Planned Parenthood clinic, the only one in South Dakota.
The South Dakota American Civil Liberties Union was putting on extra staff for the 2016 State Legislature in anticipation of abortion and other legislation pushed by conservative lawmakers and lobbying groups..
