Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Bishop Paul Swain celebrated a 'Mass for Life' Friday at St. Joseph's Cathedral, calling the protection of each person's life a "sacred trust."
Bishop Swain marked the 43rd anniversary of Roe v Wade, by saying the Supreme Court decided that unborn babies are not "persons", but disposable, even though God formed them. He quoted Pope Francis, who said the unborn are often considered "throwaways."
Swain asked the congregation to pray for a change of heart that would lead to the protection of human life from conception to natural death.
The Sioux Falls Catholic Diocese sent two busloads of people to the National March for Life in Washington DC.
