SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A man died after a fight in the Arena Motel parking lot last night and a suspect faces homicide charges.
Sioux Falls Police say Mark James Lovejoy and the victim were arguing at the West Russell Street motel and when it turned physical the fight moved to the parking lot.
A friend of the victim tried stopping the fight but he too was assaulted by Lovejoy.
When police arrived, the victim was unresponsive and was taken to the hospital where he died.
Lovejoy was found inside one of the rooms and arrested.
The victim’s name, hometown and age have not been released. The investigation continues.
