Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Police responded to over 3,000 more calls for service last year than in the year before, but a spokesman says nothing really jumps out in the 2015 Crime Report.
Murder and rape were down. Aggravated assaults and robberies were up. There was a jump in some of the drugs seized, but Officer Sam Clemens says that the amount of drugs taken is really not a good guideline to determine if drug use is actually on the rise in Sioux Falls.
Clemens says there were big increases in stolen vehicles and forgery. He has no idea why forgery increased, but with stolen vehicles, the majority had the key somewhere in the car.
