South Dakota Organization Warns Residents of Phone Scam

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - A local South Dakota organization is warning residents about a phone scam. KSFY TV reports that the South Dakota Fire School host organization has been notified about scammers using their organization to collect $100 donations.The organization says scammers will call asking for donations to sponsor firefighters attending the summer session.The host committee does not fundraise by calling residents and asking for donations. The committee is asking residents to contact the police with the phone number from which the scammer called from if possible.
