SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police say there were 26 car accidents between one yesterday afternoon and ten last night.
Officer Sam Clemens says that’s not a lot given the conditions.
Clemens says most motorists heeded the police statement of no travel advised in Sioux Falls during the blizzard. He says it also included good driving habits including slowing down and putting more space between you and the car in front of you.
Clemens says there were a handful of accidents this morning.
He wasn't sure if police had started issuing snow alert tickets yet but that should start this afternoon. There may be some snow alert numbers available at tomorrow's police briefing.
