HARRISBURG, S.D. A 16-year old driver was killed in a head on collision on Highway 11 east of Harrisburg Sunday morning, according to KSFY.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the 16-year-old female driver lost control of her vehicle and struck another driver head on. She was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 41-year-old female driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries; she was wearing a seat belt and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The identities of those involved are not being released at this time as family is still being notified.
The South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
