Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - There will be four new faces on the Sioux Falls City Council this spring
According to the Argus Leader, councilor Kermit Staggers will not seek re-election to his at-large seat during the next municipal election April 12th. Staggers has been battling some health issues that have caused him to miss a handful of meetings in recent months, and had previously declared his interested in running for another term.
Staggers decision leaves small business owner Ritch Noble and former Sanford executive John Paulson as the two declared candidates for the seat. The three other seats up for election are in the Northwest, Northeast, and Southwest districts.
KELO Radio reached out to Staggers for comment Thursday evening; however he was unavailable.
