SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police admit they have more questions than answers in the shooting injury of a nineteen-year-old Sioux Falls man last night.
Officer Sam Clemens says a 15-year-old girl was in the driver’s seat and the victim in the passenger seat when the suspect approached them.
The victim says he was leary at first but then thought the stranger might need help. Instead, the victim says, he pulled out a handgun and shot the 19-year-old in the thigh.
Clemens says the victims gave different locations of where the shooting happened and how the suspect shot the victim.
Clemens says the incident happened between 10:30 and 11 last night. The girl drove the victim to a Sioux Falls hospital and authorities there called police. He says the wound was not serious, it was dressed and the victim was released.
Investigators have the car and will look for more information from that today
